Well done to our brilliant Second Year students who represented Ballinteer Community School at the SciFest regional finals in TU Dublin Tallaght .
The students showcased their amazing science projects, & we are so proud of them! Projects focused on a number of topics, from heat damage to hair, to calories lost during boxing, to the impact of air pressure in on the ability of basketballs to bounce. Particular congratulations to Adrian, Liam, and Jamie who won Second Place in the Junior Chemistry category for their project "does the water hardness vary in different parts of Dublin?”
Students also made posters summarising their experiments, which will now take pride of place outside the science labs in school.
