In late 2021, our school was selected to be part of a Department of Education and Youth project in Ireland’s National Recovery and Resilience Plan (NRRP), supported by the European Union through NextGenerationEU funding under its Recovery and Resilience Facility. Our school received grant funding to implement initiatives to address the digital divide and the needs of learners at risk of educational disadvantage.
Ballinteer Community school received a grant in 2021 to implement initiatives aimed at addressing the digital divide and support our learners at risk of educational disadvantage as a consequence, as part of the Irish National Recovery and Resilience Plan (NRRP) a project under the Recovery and Resilience Facility funded by the European Union through NextGenerationEU.
Thanks to the ICT NRRP Funding, we were able to provide:
- New Chromebooks for our computer rooms to assist with CBA completion/equity of access to laptops
- Student and staff 365 Licences
- New laptops for the DCG Cad Room
- Speakers in all classrooms to support learning and teaching
