A Message from Principal Dr Corcoran

In 1974 the school opened as a greenfield school to cater for the burgeoning student population from the newly built housing estates in the Ballinteer area.  Today, it is educating many of the children of its original students and has established itself as a significant educational landmark in the region of South Dublin.

Ballinteer Community School is a central educational resource in the area.  Its doors are open to the public until 10.30pm every night and on weekends.

Ballinteer Community School is committed to providing quality education to its students.  The school is dedicated to imparting to them strong moral values, a love of learning, concern for others and the skills necessary to lead purposeful and meaningful lives in their communities.
