We are saddened today by the death of our former student James Gill. Our thoughts are with his family at this time. May he rest in peace.

Welcome!

Ballinteer Community School affectionately known as BCS opened in 1974. Situated in south Co. Dublin it caters for boys and girls ranging in age from 12 to 18 years. The school campus was redeveloped recently and a new school building was officially reopened in October 2008. Principal David O'Connell was appointed in December 2010.

Ballinteer Community School is committed to providing quality education to its students. The school is dedicated to imparting to them strong moral values, a love of learning, concern for others and the skills necessary to lead purposeful and meaningful lives in their community. The ethos of the school is Christian and is nurtured in an inclusive way so that students of all religious traditions have a strong conviction of Faith as well as the intellectual  curiosity and religious commitment to develop and deepen their knowledge of it.
