Welcome!

Ballinteer Community School affectionately known as BCS opened in 1974. Situated in south Co. Dublin it caters for boys and girls ranging in age from 12 to 18 years. The school campus was redeveloped recently and a new school building was officially reopened in October 2008. Principal David O'Connell was appointed in December 2010.

The ethos of the school is Christian and is nurtured in an inclusive way so that students of all religious traditions have a strong conviction of Faith as well as the intellectual  curiosity and religious commitment to develop and deepen their knowledge of it.
